The Vidyalaya is located in the middle of a16-acre vast open ground adjoining the Pratap Vilas Palace premises.

The earliest Vidyalaya building, the Main Building, has 57 classrooms; the Archie Villa, the oldest and earliest of the Vidyalaya buildings in front of the Main Building, has seven classrooms; the Sai Vilas has 45 classrooms while the newest addition, the Sai Ashish has 40 classrooms. The Amar Vilas Palace, which is a Heritage building, houses 16 classrooms.

All 156 classrooms have abundant natural lighting, are well ventilated and are fully equipped with Smartboards and CCTVs to ensure that learning carries on unhindered.

Adequate drinking water and separate sanitation facilities for girls and boys have been provided in each of the complexes within the Vidyalaya.


Sports Grounds

The Vidyalya is blessed with one of the largest sports infrastructure among all the schools in the city. The sports complex can accommodate two football fields, a cricket pitch, a hockey field and an 800-metre race track apart from arrangements for all athletics track and field events.

There are two Basketball courts, two Badminton courts and provision for a Volleyball court as well. The Inner Courtyard serves as a Skating rink for Intra and Inter School Skating Competitions.

The Vidyalaya has three spacious, wholly dedicated, fully equipped Science laboratories for each of the Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) and five Computer Science laboratories with 100 state-of-the-art computers.

Plans for a Language Lab and an Audio-Visual Room are in the offing.
